Classes

We offer knitting classes for adults and children, both group and private instruction.

All of our classes follow an "open" format.  We don't teach you to knit the first week, purl the second.  We take you from wherever you are--beginner, intermediate, etc to the next level of expertise.  You work on a project of your own choosing.  There are knitters of all levels in each of the classes.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Weekly Knitting Classes

Learn to knit or take your knitting to the next level!  These classes are for all levels of knitters. These group sessions run in six-week sessions.  Each class is 1 1/2 hours.  Cost is  $75 for six weeks.  You may join a class in progress with cost being prorated at $15 per session remaining.

Monday 10:30AM - 12:00PM
Tuesday 6:30PM - 8:00PM
Wednesday 6:30PM - 8:00PM
Thursday 10:30AM- 12:00PM
  6:00PM - 7:30PM
Friday 10:30AM - 12:00PM
  1:00PM - 2:30PM

UFO Wednesdays, 1:00-4:00PM

If you're like me, sometimes you put a project into time out.  You both need some space.  Sometimes, you're going through one of your knitting baskets, bags, or closets and find a project from a long time ago.  Often you look at that project and immediately declare a sighting of a UFO -- unfinished object.

Don't let those projects languish in the bottom of the knitting basket.  Bring them in, with the pattern, yarn and needles and we'll help you figure out where you are.

Diana is hosting UFO Wednesdays. We'll get you back
on track and fired up again about that UFO.

Cost is $15. No advance registration is necessary.

Kids Classes

Our kids' classes are started Friday, September 17 from 3:45-4:45 PM.  The class runs six weeks and is modeled after our open-format classes.  The kids learn the basics then pick a project to work on.  Call to register.

Cost: $60 for six weeks.

Parent-Child Class

Join us for a version of our six week open class designed just for parents and children together.  We suggest the children be at least 8 years old to participate.  An open-format class, we teach you the basics (if you don't know them) and then move on to a project of your choice.  Classes are held Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 PM

Cost: $100 one parent/one child, $150 one parent/two children (60 minute sessions, six contiguous weeks).

Private Lessons

One-on-one sessions schedule at your convenience. $25 per half-hour. Call to schedule.

Shared, Semi-Private Lessons

If our classes don't fit into your schedule, or you think you need more attention, grab and friend and schedule a semi-private lesson.  Generally 45 minutes in length, semi-private lessons are $45 for two people.  Call to schedule.

Workshops

Lunch and Learn-Stretchy Bind-Offs
Saturday, May 21, 12:00-1:30PM

Sometimes you need to bind off more loosely or want a bit of stretch in your bind off like for toe-up socks or a lacy scarf.

Bring your brown bag lunch and learn some stretchy bind offs.  Bring  some practice yarn and needles.  Knit a little swatch -- 10 or 15 stitches wide, to use for practice.  Diana will provide drinks and dessert, along with a cheat sheet for the bind-offs.

$100 per person. You don't need to pay ahead of time, but please email or call to let us know you'll be coming so we have enought drinks and coookes for everyone.

Fixing and Finishing

The Stitch Doctor is in!!  Want to learn how to ladder back to a dropped stitch and fix it?  Confused by the mattress stitch?  Have a sweater that's done but needs to be seamed?  Come to our fixing and finishing workshop with Maryanna.  Bring a project that needs fixing, something to be seamed or a 4x4 swatch to how to fix your mistakes.
Each workshop costs $10.  No advance registration is necessary.

Saturday, May 7,  2:00-3:30 PM
Saturday, May 21, 2:00-3:30 PM
